Route Optimization of AGVs with an Improved Fishbone Warehouse Layout

AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles) as one of the most intelligent technologies is widely applied in warehousing operations with a high speed development logistic fields. Automated material systems have proved that they would improve effectiveness loading, unloading and handling company well reducing labor cost strengthening working safety. AGV, part automated systems, preforms powerful actions full chain cargo warehouse. Effective planning running route key for improving efficiency loading unloading. Based on this, this article aims to warehouse operation control capabilities an innovated fishbone layout design. Firstly, improved designed by embedded central corridor compared classical layout. Then, optimization model proposed, which transformed into secondary allocation getting better more optimal solution. Finally, genetic algorithm used verify feasibility proposed model. The results show method can effectively reduce distance among materials shelf point according Under same circumstances, reduction total reach 12.8% benchmark example.
